Brooklyn nostalgia.

This new kitchen deck was made from remainders of the roof deck that a fire marshall made me remove on Summit St. I'm pretty sure this was the beginning of the end of my love affair with Summit St. The purchasers of the building actually withheld 10K for months because I accidently left some wood in the community garden behind the place. This beautiful recycled whiskey factory wood works perfectly inside, it is apparently a fire hazard outside. Equally nice to know we are protected from the flammability of our bedroom pillows with FDA approved teflon spray... or whatever it is.
This is most of what was left from my stash (the roof was 4x this size) so maybe they did build a fancy new sauna in the house with wood that was forgotten. Anyway, I am happy with the deck but still confused about the kitchen layout. Sink and stove have to stay where they are....any genius suggestions?

put the fridge left of the sink and the rest on the right.
chopping could happen on an island in the middle.

agreed. More chop space between the stove and sink where the real cooking action is. Fridge should be closer, less walking. (You already walk enough inside.)

Have to say I love the deck. I think smaller spaces within the larger space will make it easier to get to things.

we love you,
